“I cannot recommend midwives (or a homebirth) enough”
Birthing with my midwife at home was a completely safe and supportive experience
for myself and my husband. I can’t imagine being happier with the outcome and
believe strongly that the smoothness of the labour was attributed entirely to
such a supportive team in the freeing environment of my own home. My midwife
equipped my husband to be a super-star labour coach and kept me in tune with
the values and goals I had envisioned for my own labour. I cannot recommend
midwives (or a homebirth) enough!

All I remember was your gentle face and reassuring gaze whenever I would ask ‘how much longer?’ or ‘how many more contractions?’ Your patience was incredible. Thank you for not giving up on me/us and for doing everything you did to help us have the birth we had dreamed of. You are a fantastic midwife.

Through unusual circumstances, we actually only got to meet Alyson once before we went into labour, but we felt instantly comfortable with her and totally confident in her care. She was so clear in her communication and so warm and encouraging throughout the process of labour, and in the care that she provided in the weeks following our little girl’s birth, that we wouldn’t have wanted anyone else as our primary midwife.
